A GameDev.tv Game Jam 2025 Entry
🎮 Developed by: Lost Legacy Games
🎨 Art by: Lost Legacy Games
🎵 Music by: Mylo Vanna
You are a Byte Medic — a microscopic repair unit deployed inside a failing computer system. PS Always check task panel if you not sure what to do some tasks require a tool before you can do the task, in the Task panel it will display (Requires: Tool.)
Race against time to fix corrupted circuits, restore broken connections, and issue emergency commands from within. Every task matters. Every second counts.
Crafted entirely with hand-drawn vector art, this short narrative-driven experience blends puzzle-solving, exploration, and terminal-style mini-games into one cohesive mission.
🎧 Music
The atmospheric soundtracks was composed by the incredibly talented Mylo Vanna:
• Intro: “Morning Scent”
• Gameplay Loop: “Ambiguity”
• Outro: “No Exit”

Byte Medic is by far my favorite project to date. I built everything from scratch — including the art — and poured myself into every detail. It’s a short experience, but I hope it lingers long after the screen fades to black.
Note: Computer and game logos in the intro scene were created using AI.

No Way!, i actually wanted to make a game like this instead (Due to lack of 2D experience) i made a game called BitRunner, i am truly amazed that someone though tabout the same idea and i am so happy that you actually implemented it so good this game is a 5star for sure ❤️
That’s so awesome to hear! I’ll definitely check out BitRunner too, it’s always cool when ideas align. Thank you so much for the kind words and the 5 stars, it really means a lot! ❤️ Maybe one day we can collab on a jam together 😄
When I first saw the game and intro scene, the sound was what captured me (Can I have a bot that sounds like this?).
At first I struggled with understanding what to do, and it wasn't clear, till I pressed the WASD keys and the character moved, and I was on the motherboard. OMG!
Also love the idea of portals to different parts.
Amazing concept, art and could be a really good game. One small feedback, the intro scene could be less text and let me in faster into the amazing world you have created!
Thank you so much for the feedback <3 I actually made those bot sounds myself haha
Thank you, I made the intro just a little shorter and Dr byte now tells you about WASD haha thank you again. Going to reupload the game
I really enjoyed the premise of this. The artwork was awesome. The music was immersive. Very much felt cool to see all the things that come together to keep a computer running and how you gamified being a computer technician. This was so well done! Good Job!!
Thank you for the feedback!
